space is inevitable when people have seams, 2016

Oil on Organza

Dimensions variable/ Framed: 1.80m x 2.00m

space is inevitable when people have seams examines human relationships by demonstrating how physical bodies interact, intersect and overlap. Focusing on how each body is an individual entity, the piece plays on the notion of space between

conventional structures and imagery, notions of absence and/or presence. The use of translucent fabric and

organic draping throughout the work highlights the softness and warmth of humanity while juxtaposing it with the irreconcilable rigidity of distance

between people.
